Mr. Johnson is a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation of Oklahoma. He served in the US Army for 10 1/2 years with the infantry troops throughout the Pacific during WWII, the Korean Occupation and in the Korean Police Action. Mr. Johnson fought and was wounded on Pork Chop Hill. He is a member of the "Who's Who in the Oklahoma Military Hall of Fame".

He is currently the Vice President of the San Joaquin River Intertribal Heritage Educational Corporation, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to bring cultural awareness and education to children and adults, alike.
