The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Spc. Adam D. Froehlich, 21, of Pine Hill, N. J., died March 25 in Baqubah, Iraq, from injuries sustained when his patrol came under an IED attack. Spc. Froehlich was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery, from Warner Barracks, Bamberg, Germany.

The incident is under investigation.
