DOD IDENTIFIES ARMY CASUALTY

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sgt. James W. Harlan, 44, of Owensboro, Ky., died May 14 at Camp Anaconda, Iraq, when a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb next to his vehicle. Harlan was assigned to the Army Reserve's 660th Transportation Company, 88th Regional Readiness Command, Zanesville, Ohio. The incident is under investigation.
